Skandia Pensions

The Atlantic Umbrella Company Ltd Group now offers contractors membership of the Atlantic on-line Personal Pension Scheme. Our scheme is a personal pension scheme with the market leading pension provider - Skandia Life.

If you are interested, agree a contribution level with us and the Company will make a payment to your own personal pension each month. This payment made by us as your employer will be made free of any tax or National Insurance deductions. For a higher rate tax payer this represents a saving of approximately 48%.

Contribution levels should be agreed before your salary and expenses levels are arranged and therefore do not represent any sacrifice of salary. Contribution levels to the personal pension scheme may however be varied at your discretion. They may also be suspended for example between contracts if required.

You will have your own personal pension with Skandia Life which you can view via a secure log-in. You may set this up once your pension has started. Once you have your secure log-in you will be able to value your investment, direct investment strategy and project forward your retirement income for your chosen retirement date.

The sooner we start contributions for you, the sooner you may retire!

HMRC allows significant levels of contribution to a personal pension, these made individually may be up to your entire salary currently with a maximum of £225,000!

Should you leave us, then you take your personal pension with you at no charge from either Skandia Life or ourselves. The pension remains yours and is set up under a trust arrangement for your benefit in retirement.

You may take your benefits from age 55 onwards at your discretion. On taking your benefits, up to 25% of your fund may be taken as tax free cash. For further details of the funds available to you, please go to www.skandia.co.uk/funds/fundinfo/index.htm and view the single price fund type.
