Richard Bradley, speaking on behalf of Accept Cards Ltd, has emphasised the importance of companies engaging suitable staff to put regular processes in place to ensure transactions are scrutinised statistically.
He said: "Minimising credit card fraud takes time but, above all, it is important to acquire an e-commerce payment gateway that is secure, using supplementary security modules provided by the major credit card companies."
Mr Bradley emphasised the importance of companies learning how and why fraudulent financial transactions take place, which could involve bringing in an external security contractor.
Compliance is another key area which could see a leap in contractor staff, after DeviceLock business development manager Alexei Lesnykh claimed that changes in the law mean that companies are putting an increasing emphasis on information security.
