According to ComputerWorldUK.com, a new control and mobilising IT system is needed by the London Fire Brigade and the successful company will work alongside the service for ten years under the contract.
The LFEPA said that the work is worth between £21 million and £297.6 million and could involve collaborations with Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Services, Buckinghamshire & Milton Keynes Fire Authority and Royal Berkshire Fire Authority.
Although the three services have not yet committed to the project, London Fire Brigade has said that there will be a joint procurement across all four authorities.
Alex Evans, editorial director and co-chair of the National Business Awards, recently said that a growing number of small businesses are prioritising getting a web presence, which could present new opportunities for IT contractors.
